Boros Energy is an aggressive deck that floods the board with efficient creatures like Guide of Souls, Ocelot Pride, and Ragavan, then generates overwhelming value through energy synergies and Phlage. Your primary goal is to survive to the point where Emrakul or a large Eldrazi takes over the game. Kozilek's Return is excellent here, sweeping their small creatures at instant speed (and potentially recurring off a large Eldrazi cast), while Fade from History cleanly answers Blood Moon and Goblin Bombardment before they can lock you out or sacrifice around your blockers. Vexing Bauble comes in to punish their free spells and disrupt the Ragavan-into-free-spell lines that can steal games early. World Breaker, Writhing Chrysalis, and Ugin, Eye of the Storms come out as they are too slow or insufficiently impactful against a deck that can go wide and win before these cards stabilize the board.

Jeskai Blink is a tempo-value deck built around Phelia and Phlage, using Ephemerate and blink effects to generate card advantage while disrupting your board with removal like Galvanic Discharge and Consign to Memory. Kozilek's Return gives you instant-speed sweeper access to clean up Ragavan, Phelia, and Quantum Riddler before they bury you in value. Fade from History efficiently answers the enchantment lands (Elegant Parlor, Meticulous Archive, Thundering Falls) that power their engine, as well as Fable of the Mirror-Breaker. Vexing Bauble disrupts their free spells — Solitude in particular — and taxes their overall interaction early, buying you time to resolve a game-ending Eldrazi. World Breaker, Writhing Chrysalis, and Ugin are the cuts since they're slow or situational against a deck that can blink away threats and answer permanents efficiently.

Affinity operates as a fast artifact-synergy deck that can develop a wide board through Weapons Manufacturing and Urza's Saga tokens, then close quickly with Kappa Cannoneer or Arcbound Ravager. Kozilek's Return is your most efficient answer, sweeping their token armies and small threats at instant speed, while Nature's Claim and Fade from History handle Urza's Saga constructs, Arcbound Ravager, and Shadowspear before they snowball. World Breaker and Ugin, Eye of the Storms come out as too slow or conditional against their aggressive starts — you need to stabilize with interaction before your top-end becomes relevant. Keep Unholy Heat as your primary single-target removal for Kappa Cannoneer, and remember that Sowing Mycospawn and Eldrazi Temple ramp keeps you ahead on mana even through their Metallic Rebukes. Post-board, be aware of Damping Sphere from their side, which can slow your Eldrazi Temple plan — prioritize having Nature's Claim ready.
