Mono Red Madness is an aggressive burn deck that wins by dealing 20 damage quickly through Guttersnipe, Kessig Flamebreather, and direct burn spells like Lightning Bolt and Fiery Temper. Prismatic Strands is your best card in this matchup — it can prevent all combat damage or negate an entire Guttersnipe chain, and the flashback via flying creatures makes it nearly free. Arashin Cleric gains 3 life on entry, buying crucial time and shrinking your effective life total deficit. Guardians' Pledge is too slow and situational when you may not be swinging into open air, and Leonardo, Big Brother's discard synergy is irrelevant here. Keep Thraben Charm active as an answer to Voldaren Epicure's Blood token and as a damage-prevention trick in response to burn.
Dimir Terror is a tempo-control deck built around cheap interaction and large threats like Tolarian Terror and Gurmag Angler backed by Counterspell and Snuff Out. Journey to Nowhere gives you clean answers to their delve threats that dodge Snuff Out and Cast Down's sorcery-speed restrictions, while Sunlance picks off Sneaky Snacker and Murmuring Mystic. Cut Prismatic Strands since they have very little in the way of a wide attack that would trigger its fog effect, and trim Guardians' Pledge since you'll rarely resolve a pump spell through their counterspell suite. Your best route to victory is flooding the board with small fliers from Battle Screech and Militia Bugler chains to go wide over their removal, pressuring them before they can establish Tolarian Terror.
