Ocelot Pride Midrange wants to go wide with Cat tokens, so a second Wrath of the Skies is a strong way to reset the board versus their token swarm. Endurance is a 3/4 flash reach body that blocks their small ground creatures well, including Amped Raptor, Voice of Victory and the Cat tokens. Blue Elemental Blast gives us a cheap answer to their red permanents like Amped Raptor, Hexing Squelcher, Goblin Bombardment and the red Warrior tokens from Voice of Victory. Spell Pierce can only hit noncreature spells, and most of their threats are creatures, so it has few good targets. Phelia is easily answered by Swords to Plowshares and Static Prison and doesn't generate enough value against their pressure. Leyline Binding and Swords to Plowshares stay in as premium flexible answers to their key threats like Ajani and Guide of Souls.

Surgical Extraction can exile a Nethergoyf from the graveyard, which shuts off its escape, and it can also take away a key cantrip or Mishra's Bauble from the graveyard-type count that Nethergoyf and Moonshadow's recursion rely on. Consign to Memory has two modes that matter here. It counters Mishra's Bauble, which is a colorless spell, and it counters triggered abilities such as Orcish Bowmasters' enter and extra-draw triggers, Bilbo's attack trigger, and Moonshadow's trigger. Bauble's sacrifice ability is an activated ability, so Consign to Memory can't counter it. Only the delayed draw trigger it creates can be targeted. Spell Pierce is removed since it's too passive against their proactive, mana-efficient curve, and Wrath of the Skies is weak since Dimir Tempo rarely overextends with multiple creatures. Force of Will and Leyline Binding remain key to answering Moonshadow.

Sultai Aluren wants to resolve Show and Tell or Aluren and chain into Acererak/Atraxa, so Force of Negation and the extra Consign to Memory (which counters colorless spells like Acererak, a key Aluren target) help disrupt their combo pieces. Veil of Summer protects our hand from their Thoughtseize-adjacent disruption and blue/black spells while cantripping. Spell Pierce is cut since it only taxes {2}, easily paid by their explosive mana from Lotus Petal and Ancient Tomb, and some Leyline Binding copies come out since their best targets (Show and Tell, Aluren) are better answered pre-resolution with countermagic than post-resolution with a slow enchantment. Force of Will and Brainstorm remain central to disrupt their combo turn.
