Buy sideboard on ManapoolSheoldred's Edict is clean, uncounterable-by-Daze-timing-wise removal for Murktide Regent or a transformed Tamiyo since it doesn't target and dodges Force of Will only by being cheap and efficient, forcing a sacrifice they can't easily play around. Elvish Reclaimer is too slow against a deck full of free counterspells and cheap disruption that will simply Thoughtseize or Daze our development. Our disruption suite of Thoughtseize, Fatal Push, and Wasteland is already well-positioned against their Wasteland-and-threat plan, so we keep the core intact and make a light, surgical upgrade.
Damping Sphere blunts Ancient Tomb and Eldrazi Temple's burst mana, slowing their curve into Reality Smasher and Thought-Knot Seer. Disruptor Flute can tax a key repeatable threat by {3}, which is a huge tempo hit against a deck built around efficient colorless beaters. While Snuff Out can destroy colorless Eldrazi creatures since they are nonblack, paying 4 life is too steep, and Elvish Reclaimer/Scythecat Cub are too slow against a deck full of haste threats and Chalice of the Void locks. Keep Wasteland in since it punishes their nonbasic-heavy Eldrazi manabase (Cavern of Souls, Eye of Ugin, Eldrazi Temple).
Sheoldred's Edict forces a sacrifice of a Cat token, the Ajani creature, or the Ajani planeswalker itself, giving us answers that dodge their combat tricks and work even when they go wide. Disruptor Flute stops Karakas-based value loops on their legendary creatures. Elvish Reclaimer and Scythecat Cub are too passive against an aggressive, disruptive token deck that races; Snuff Out is a clunkier one-for-one here since much of their board is tokens or resilient planeswalkers. Wasteland stays in to punish their Karakas/utility-land-heavy base.
