The extra Swords to Plowshares is a clean, efficient answer to whatever threat resolves, exiling Murktide Regent or Tamiyo before it runs away with the game. Endurance comes in as a flash blocker or a free (evoke) graveyard wipe off a green card to proactively deny delve fuel before Murktide Regent is cast or shrink an opposing Nethergoyf. Skateboard, Sylvan Safekeeper, and Icetill Explorer are too slow or low-impact against a deck actively trying to Wasteland you off colors and counter your spells, so they come out for more immediately impactful cards.

Ocelot Pride Midrange goes wide fast with Ocelot Pride tokens, Guide of Souls, and Ajani, Nacatl Pariah, so you need efficient removal and bodies that can block profitably. The extra Swords to Plowshares answers their best individual threat (often Ajani or an Amped Raptor-fueled card), while Endurance gives you a 3/4 reach blocker to stem the token swarm. Skateboard, Sylvan Safekeeper, and Icetill Explorer don't affect the board quickly enough against this aggressive a start, so they're cut for more impactful cards. Sultai Aluren's whole plan revolves around resolving the Aluren enchantment to flash in a chain of free creatures, so Force of Vigor is a direct, often free (by exiling a green card when it's not your turn) answer that blows it up before they can go off. Gaddock Teeg backs this up by shutting off Aluren from being cast at all, since it costs four mana, while also stopping Prismatic Ending from ever coming down due to the {X} in its mana cost. Skateboard, Sylvan Safekeeper, and Icetill Explorer don't pressure the enchantment or interact with their plan, so they're cut for dedicated anti-combo tech. Keep applying pressure with your Green Sun's Zenith creatures and land toolbox, since Teeg and Force of Vigor buy time rather than closing the game on their own.
