This matchup is a race where Basking Broodscale, Glaring Fleshraker, and Devourer of Destiny generate a wide board of Eldrazi Spawn tokens and colorless threats; Galvanic Blast with Metalcraft kills most of their early creatures for 4 damage. Vexing Bauble punishes their many free/cheap spells and also disrupts Ancient Stirrings-into-artifact lines by taxing zero-cost activations indirectly through tempo pressure on their curve. Tormod's Crypt is already strong here against Emrakul, the Promised End's graveyard cost reduction. Claws of Gix and Welding Jar are too slow and reactive against a deck that just wants to overrun you with bodies.

While cantrips like Preordain are blue rather than colorless, Izzet Prowess runs cheap colorless spells like Mishra's Bauble, making Consign to Memory useful to counter Mishra's Bauble. Whipflare sweeps their nonartifact threats like Dragon's Rage Channeler and Monastery Swiftspear (both start at 1 or 2 toughness) while leaving our own artifact creatures untouched. This is a tempo race, so cut the slower incidental value cards for proactive disruption and a sweeper against their swarm of small creatures.

Esper GenericBlink leans on cheap creatures like Orcish Bowmasters, Phelia, and Witch Enchanter, so Galvanic Blast is excellent removal that hits for 4 with Metalcraft, and Whipflare sweeps their small nonartifact bodies (Bowmasters, Phelia, Flickerwisp) without touching our artifact creatures. Witch Enchanter's ETB can blow up an artifact or enchantment, so Hurkyl's Recall lets us return our own artifacts to hand to dodge a follow-up sweeper or a targeted removal spell, saving our board rather than rebuilding it after the fact. Vexing Bauble punishes their many zero-cost interactions and free spells like Solitude's evoke line. We trim Claws of Gix and Welding Jar since they are too passive against a proactive value deck, cut one Skateboard since equipment is low-impact here, and shave two Metallic Rebuke since their curve is full of cheap threats our counterspell taxes poorly.
