Ensnaring Bridge is excellent since Basking Broodscale and Devourer of Destiny are creatures that must attack to beat us (though Glaring Fleshraker can deal damage without attacking), and our hand size stays low naturally. Hurkyl's Recall bounces Urza's Saga tokens, Blade of the Bloodchief, and Vexing Bauble, disrupting their board while we keep milling. Nihil Spellbomb slows Kozilek's Command graveyard exile plans and can be sacrificed for value later. Fatal Push and Crypt Incursion are weak here since their creatures are big and few die naturally, so we trim them for proactive disruption.

Consign to Memory counters colorless spells like Mishra's Bauble and any triggered abilities, but more importantly this matchup is a pure race against a low-toughness aggro deck, so Ensnaring Bridge stops Dragon's Rage Channeler, Monastery Swiftspear, and Slickshot Show-Off from connecting once their power exceeds our hand size. Visions of Beyond is too slow when we need to close quickly, so we cut it for proactive stabilizers. Keep Fatal Push and Drown in the Loch in since they answer their one-toughness creatures and burn spells respectively.

This is a grindy blink midrange deck full of fetchlands, so Ashiok, Dream Render cuts off their card selection and graveyard recursion targets for Emperor of Bones and Overlord of the Balemurk. Extirpate is redundant with our maindeck Surgical Extraction but adds more graveyard disruption against Flickerwisp/Ephemerate value loops, and we trim one Glimpse the Unthinkable since raw mill speed matters less than disrupting their engine pieces. Keep the bulk of our mill package intact since they have no wraths for our small creatures and this becomes a mill race we're favored to win if uninterrupted.
