Boros Energy is a fast, wide aggro deck that floods the board with small creatures like Ocelot Pride tokens and Guide of Souls triggers, then threatens to go over the top with Phlage and Ranger-Captain. Rough/Tumble is your premier sweeper here, killing most of their board at instant speed while leaving your larger threats like Territorial Kavu and Scion of Draco intact. Wear/Tear comes in to handle Goblin Bombardment and any sideboard artifacts like Damping Sphere, which they bring in to slow your fetchland-heavy mana. Stubborn Denial and the singleton counterspells are low-impact in a matchup decided by board presence rather than spells, so they come out. Your Leyline of the Guildpact giving protection to your domain threats makes this a close race where the sweepers often decide the game.
Jeskai Blink is a tempo-value deck built around Phelia and Ephemerate to repeatedly blink Phlage, Solitude, and Quantum Riddler for incremental advantage, so the game often becomes a battle over key permanents and counterspell wars. Mystical Dispute is premier here, hitting their Phlage, Solitude, Phelia, and Quantum Riddler at a steep discount when they're casting on-color. Bringing in additional Consign to Memory lets you interact more freely with their blink loops and Arena of Glory activations. Stubborn Denial loses value without a consistent Ferocious enabler against their wide threat density, and both Strix Serenade and The Legend of Roku are too slow or situational in a race where tempo is everything. Your own Ragavan, Territorial Kavu, and Scion of Draco apply fast pressure that forces them to spend their Ephemerate defensively rather than on value.
Affinity is a fast artifact-based synergy deck that wins through Kappa Cannoneer, Urza's Saga tokens, and Weapons Manufacturing going wide. Wear/Tear is your premier answer, hitting Mox Opal, Engineered Explosives, Urza's Saga, and Shadowspear. Rough/Tumble acts as a sweeper against their wide token and Construct boards that evade ground blockers, and Obsidian Charmaw can immediately pressure or destroy Urza's Saga. Leyline Binding is excellent here since your domain is typically online by turn one, allowing you to exile Kappa Cannoneer and other threats at instant speed. Trim the counterspells and The Legend of Roku, as this matchup is primarily about removing permanents rather than countering spells.
