Consign to Memory is excellent here, countering the triggered abilities off Devourer of Destiny and Emrakul, the Promised End's cast triggers, as well as colorless Kozilek's Command activations, stripping the deck of its biggest swings before they resolve. Emperor of Bones lets you exile key cards like Basking Broodscale or Emrakul out of their graveyard before Kozilek's Command or Devourer of Destiny can find value there, and doubles as its own recursive threat. Teferi comes out since their deck has few instants to punish and its bounce mode is weak against a board of Eldrazi Spawn tokens, while trimming lands slightly smooths the curve for the incoming spells. Prioritize using Solitude and Fatal Push proactively on Basking Broodscale and Glaring Fleshraker before they generate token value.

Izzet Prowess wins by burying you under cheap one- and two-toughness creatures like Monastery Swiftspear, Dragon's Rage Channeler, and Slickshot Show-Off, so Pest Control's sweep of mana value 1 or less permanents cleanly answers Swiftspear and Mishra's Bauble while Wrath of the Skies scales up to catch Dragon's Rage Channeler and Cori-Steel Cutter tokens. Heartless Summoning's -1/-1 doesn't help against a deck with almost no creatures to cheapen and only shrinks your own Solitude and Overlord of the Floodpits, so it's cut alongside Momentum Breaker, which whiffs against a deck that rarely commits a single important permanent. Play around Consign to Memory-style counterplay by holding up Fatal Push and Solitude to answer Dragon's Rage Channeler or Cori-Steel Cutter before they take over combat math.

Boros Energy floods the board with cheap value creatures like Guide of Souls, Ocelot Pride, and Ranger-Captain of Eos, so Pest Control's sweep of mana value 1 or less permanents is a huge tempo swing, wiping Guide of Souls, Ocelot Pride, and Ragavan in one sorcery. Wrath of the Skies scales further to catch Ajani, Nacatl Pariah and Seasoned Pyromancer tokens once you have more energy to spend. Heartless Summoning is often a liability here since its -1/-1 doesn't meaningfully slow their aggression and shrinks your own blockers, so it comes out along with a Momentum Breaker that does little against a deck without a single big threat to edict away. Keep Solitude and Fatal Push up to answer Ragavan and Ajani before they take over the game.
