Buy sideboard on ManapoolThis is a race where Blue Elemental Blast is excellent, countering or destroying red spells and permanents such as Kessig Flamebreather, Guttersnipe, Fiery Temper, and Lightning Bolt for one mana. Last Breath exiles Voldaren Epicure or Kessig Flamebreather (both power 2 or less) while the opponent gains 4 life, buying crucial time against the burn plan. Stonehorn Dignitary skips their next combat phase, a huge tempo swing against an aggressive clock. Negate comes out since it whiffs on key creature spells like Voldaren Epicure and Guttersnipe, while Prohibit misses spells like Guttersnipe without kicker, and Ghostly Flicker plus one Sea Gate Oracle are trimmed for being too slow when you need to stabilize fast; keep God-Pharaoh's Faithful and the Ephemerate core intact as your primary life-gain engine against burn.
Remove Soul counters Delver of Secrets, Tolarian Terror, or Cryptic Serpent outright, denying their key threats before they land. An extra Negate helps fight over their card draw spells, Thraben Charm exiles their graveyard to keep their Serpents and Terrors expensive, and Murmuring Mystic provides a steady stream of flying blockers. Meeting of Minds is too slow and taxing against a deck full of cheap countermagic like Counterspell and Dispel, so it comes out along with two copies of Prohibit, which are frequently outclassed because their threats have mana values well above its mana-value cap even when discounted. Lean on Snap plus Ephemerate to reset your permanents against their light removal suite.
Steel Sabotage is excellent here, countering key artifact spells or bouncing artifacts like Bonder's Ornament, Expedition Map, and Candy Trail that fix Tron's mana and generate card advantage. The extra Negate helps stop noncreature ramp and value pieces like Ancient Stirrings or Crop Rotation, though it whiffs on their creature finishers like Maelstrom Colossus and Bramble Wurm. Prohibit is cut because its low mana-value cap misses most of Tron's relevant spells once they hit three lands, and Meeting of Minds is trimmed since it's too slow to matter before Tron assembles its lock. Lean on Preordain, Lorien Revealed, and the flicker package to out-card-advantage them while disrupting their artifact-based ramp with Steel Sabotage.
