Buy sideboard on ManapoolMono Red Madness races with cheap burn and pinger triggers, so Weather the Storm's lifegain buys crucial turns against Lightning Bolt and Fiery Temper draws. Breath Weapon deals 2 damage to each non-Dragon creature, sweeping Voldaren Epicure and Guttersnipe before they generate value or chip damage. Eldrazi Repurposer and Malevolent Rumble are cut since they're slow value plays that don't affect the race, and we need proactive life gain and board sweeping instead. Keep the ramp and land destruction package intact since it isn't relevant here, but our creature-based clock still needs to close the game fast.
Mono-Blue Terror wins with cheap, hard-to-interact-with threats in Tolarian Terror and Cryptic Serpent backed by Counterspell, so we have very few direct answers in our sideboard. Weather the Storm's lifegain can help us survive a fast Terror/Serpent clock while we assemble our own board. Malevolent Rumble is a bit slow and telegraphs our plays into open Counterspell mana, so it's trimmed slightly for more resilient lifegain. Our best angle is proactive pressure with Boarding Party and Avenging Hunter's initiative before their cost-reduction threats scale up.
Tron wants to assemble Urza's Tower/Mine/Power Plant and cast Bramble Wurm or Nyxborn Hydra, so our land destruction suite (Thermokarst, Mwonvuli Acid-Moss) already attacks their gameplan directly and stays in unchanged. Breath Weapon's 2 damage cleans up small early blockers or a low-X Nyxborn Hydra bestow creature while we race, replacing Structural Distortion which is a slower, one-shot sorcery-speed effect. The priority is denying Tron via repeated land destruction while applying pressure with Boarding Party and Avenging Hunter before they assemble their engine.
