Golgari is a grindy midrange deck with removal-heavy hands and few artifacts/enchantments, so trim the clunkier Fading Hope and Winternight Stories for proactive disruption. Change the Equation covers Thoughtseize, Fatal Push, Abrupt Decay, and other cheap removal to protect your threats, while Abrade picks off Badgermole Cub, Graveyard Trespasser, and an animated Mutavault. Annul is only live against Unholy Annex // Ritual Chamber and their Room enchantments, so keep it a light inclusion. Get Out comes out since it only answers creature and enchantment spells, so it misses Professor Dellian Fel and their cheap removal, which Change the Equation handles better.

In the mirror, the game is decided by who generates more card advantage and bigger threats, so Stormwing Entity comes in as an efficient flying beater that gets much cheaper when you cast it after an instant or sorcery, which this cantrip-heavy deck does often. Ral, Crackling Wit provides a resilient win condition and card selection engine, and their Fiery Impulse can't answer it because that spell only hits creatures. Get Out is a clean cut since it trades symmetrically into their same cards and isn't a priority upgrade, while one Fading Hope rotates out for the added threat density. Keep Stubborn Denial and Prismari Charm as your primary interaction since both decks are racing on efficiency.

This UBR mirror-adjacent matchup is full of counterspells and card advantage engines, so Change the Equation is excellent against their cheap interaction and bigger spells like Indomitable Creativity. Annul picks off Fable of the Mirror-Breaker (an enchantment spell) and any artifacts they bring in. Abrade kills Fable's token-making back half indirectly by removing small creatures and answers artifacts. Get Out is weaker here since few of their threats are creatures or enchantments worth countering, so trim to a leaner count alongside cutting the slow Fading Hope and Winternight Stories.
