Missing sideboard cards? The full 15-card sideboard runs about $91.83.
Buy sideboard on ManapoolCircle of Protection: Red is excellent against a deck built entirely around red damage spells and red creatures, buying crucial time against Bolt, Incinerate, and Fireblast. Bane of the Living comes out because as a face-down 2/2 it dies too easily to their removal before flipping, and Wrath of God plus Swords to Plowshares are already enough sweeper/removal against their small creatures. Keep Exalted Angel as a premium lifegain blocker and Eternal Dragon as a resilient flying blocker, and prioritize Swords to Plowshares on Grim Lavamancer and Vindicate on Cursed Scroll to deny their reach.
Aura of Silence is the single best card in this matchup, taxing every enchantment they cast by {2} and giving you a way to blow up Sterling Grove, Enchantress's Presence, or Solitary Confinement before their engine snowballs. Bane of the Living is too slow against a deck with almost no relevant creatures to sweep, so those slots become more proactive enchantment disruption. Duress and Vindicate remain premium, stripping Serra's Sanctum-enabling pieces or Solitary Confinement before it locks the game.
Engineered Plague chosen for Goblin shuts down their entire tribal synergy suite (Goblin Piledriver, Goblin Warchief, Goblin Ringleader, token Goblins from Siege-Gang Commander) by giving them all -1/-1, killing the 1-toughness Mogg Fanatic and Goblin tokens outright. Infest sweeps their small creatures (mostly 1/1s and 2/2s) for -2/-2 without hurting your bigger threats as much. Phyrexian Furnace is weak here since this Goblin build has no meaningful graveyard recursion to disrupt. Wrath of God and Bane of the Living remain excellent since this is a low-toughness aggro swarm deck that folds to sweepers.
