The Rock is too slow to race the turn-one Phyrexian Dreadnought kill, so the plan is to strip and disrupt rather than out-tempo them: Duress and Cabal Therapy are premium, taking a counterspell or, with Therapy, Dreadnought before they can execute the combo. Pernicious Deed is a key answer since it destroys Phyrexian Dreadnought regardless of how it entered play, and Smother also kills it outright since its mana value is 1. Naturalize comes in for Krosan Tusker to give a cheap way to destroy Powder Keg or an Essence Flare if they bring those in. Keep the discard suite and Deed at the core of the plan and prioritize disrupting their hand before they can land the Dreadnought.

Mono-Red Sligh runs Seal of Fire as a key removal/reach piece, and Tranquil Domain destroys all non-Aura enchantments, sweeping any Seals they've committed to the board. Duress is weak here since it only strips noncreature nonland cards and most of their threats (Jackal Pup, Goblin Vandal, Grim Lavamancer, Mogg Fanatic) are creatures it can't touch. Wall of Blossoms and Ravenous Baloth are excellent blockers, and Ravenous Baloth can sacrifice a Beast to gain life against their burn plan, and Pernicious Deed is your best answer to Cursed Scroll and their creature base together. Keep Smother and Diabolic Edict in for their small creatures.

Selesnya Enchantress wins by chaining enchantments for value and eventually locking you out with Solitary Confinement, so Naturalize and Tranquil Domain (a sweeper hitting all their non-Aura enchantments at once) are premium answers to Sterling Grove, Solitary Confinement, and the Enchantress draw engines. Smother cannot target Argothian Enchantress due to shroud, and Diabolic Edict is largely dead since their creature count is minimal. Gaea's Blessing can disrupt their Replenish plan by shuffling cards from their graveyard into their library or recycle your own resources while cantripping. Pernicious Deed remains excellent here as a catch-all sweeper for their enchantment-heavy board.
