Missing sideboard cards? The full 15-card sideboard runs about $32.97.
Buy sideboard on ManapoolBRG shares the same sacrifice/value shell as the Jund Sacrifice list, leaning on Obsessive Pursuit and Fanatical Offering to grind value, so Duress strips their key noncreature pieces before they can be leveraged. Strategic Betrayal forces the opponent to exile a creature they control along with their graveyard to prevent recursion. Bitter Triumph and Nowhere to Run see less play since our removal suite is already deep and their threats are mostly efficient and low-cost, so we prioritize disruption over more removal.
Izzet Spellementals is a spell-dense tempo-combo deck full of red and blue instants/sorceries, making Flashfreeze a strong catch-all against burn, Prismari Charm, and their red spells; while Flashfreeze dodges Get Out, Spell Snare can still counter it. Disdainful Stroke answers their expensive payoffs like Sunderflock or a large Traumatic Critique (where X is 2 or more). Nowhere to Run is weak here since Hearth Elemental and Eddymurk Crab are both 4+ toughness and dodge the -3/-3, so we cut it for more targeted countermagic against their spell-based plan.
Mono-Green Landfall wants to resolve big ramp payoffs like Earthbender Ascension, so Duress can proactively strip key noncreature pieces before they take over the game. The Ooze provides incidental graveyard hate against their Icetill Explorer recursion plans while creating value tokens over a long game. Spell Pierce and Spell Snare are weak since Spell Pierce cannot counter creatures, while creatures like Mossborn Hydra and Icetill Explorer cost more than 2 mana, dodging Spell Snare. Nowhere to Run's -3/-3 is serviceable but we have enough removal already, so we lean into disruption instead.
