BRG brings a lot of removal (Deadly Precision, Witherbloom Charm) and sacrifice synergies but few counterspells, so Origin of Metalbending's indestructible mode is excellent insurance against their removal suite while also answering their Ouroboroid-style go-wide plans by growing our threats. Warg Tactics similarly protects a key creature with hexproof and trample, letting our Mossborn Hydra or Mightform Harmonizer push through their Gene Pollinator/Umbral Collar Zealot blockers. We trim Snakeskin Veil since it's a weaker, one-shot version of similar effects, and Elven Passage since our land-search suite is already deep enough without it.

Torpor Orb is excellent here since, while Hearth Elemental's cost reduction isn't affected, it crucially stops Eddymurk Crab's tap-two-creatures enter trigger and any other enter-the-battlefield value, slowing their tempo plan significantly. Warg Tactics' flying-hate mode is relevant against their big evasive flyer Sunderflock, while its hexproof/trample mode protects our creatures from their Burst Lightning. We're proactive and low to the ground against this tempo-combo deck, so keeping our full curve of green threats while adding some resilience is the right call; we cut cards that don't advance our board or protect it.

This is the mirror match, so the plan is about maximizing landfall value and disrupting the opponent's own landfall engines. Keen-Eyed Curator grows into a 7/7 trampler with graveyard exile and can also strip their Icetill Explorer's ability to play lands from the graveyard by exiling them first. Snakeskin Veil is cut since neither deck has much hard removal to dodge, making protection lower priority than board disruption in this race.
