Mono-Green Eldrazi ramps hard through Eldrazi Temple and Ugin's Labyrinth into Emrakul, Ulamog, and Ugin, so Damping Sphere caps their explosive colorless mana output and slows the ramp plan significantly. Harvester of Misery's -2/-2 ETB sweeps Eldrazi Spawn tokens that fuel their mana base. Vexing Bauble mainly answers free spells, which this deck rarely casts, but it does counter any spell cast for no mana; include it as a low-opportunity-cost artifact that also cycles late. Spell Pierce, Otherworldly Gaze, and one Prismari Charm are too passive against a deck racing to resolve game-ending threats, so they come out in favor of proactive mana disruption and removal. Keep Thoughtseize to strip their ramp payoffs before they land.
Mono-Green Eldrazi leans on Eldrazi Temple and Ugin's Labyrinth to cheat out huge colorless threats like Emrakul, the Promised End and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger; Damping Sphere caps the bonus colorless mana those lands produce, meaningfully slowing their ramp into giant Eldrazi, while Consign to Memory counters their colorless spells and devastating cast triggers. Spell Pierce is weak since many of their key threats are creature spells it cannot target, expensive noncreature spells they can easily pay through, or activated abilities and lands it can't touch. Otherworldly Gaze doesn't pressure their game plan enough. Keep Thoughtseize and Fatal Push in to strip or answer their ramp pieces and midsized threats before they can assemble Ugin, Eye of the Storms or a giant Eldrazi.
Boros Energy runs a huge number of one and two toughness bodies (Ocelot Pride, Guide of Souls, Cat tokens, Ragavan, Voice of Victory's Warrior tokens), making Pyroclasm a great sweeper that can wipe multiple threats at once. Damping Sphere slows down their token-generation engines and taxes them when they try to chain cheap spells with Ragavan Treasures and Ocelot Pride triggers, while also stunting Goblin Bombardment-fueled aggression by taxing extra spells per turn. Spell Pierce and Otherworldly Gaze come out as too passive against a fast aggressive deck. Keep Fatal Push, Persist, and Unearth for efficient interaction and resilience against their removal-heavy plan.
