Torpor Orb is a powerful hate piece that shuts off Eddymurk Crab's enter-the-battlefield tap ability and Hearth Elemental's cost-reduction shell doesn't care, but it does stop their creature ETB value across the board, slowing their tempo plan significantly. Surrak, Elusive Hunter can't be countered, which is relevant against Get Out's counter mode, and it punishes them for targeting it with removal or bounce like Prismari Charm with a card draw (note that Get Out's bounce mode can only target their own permanents). Hollowmurk Siege is too slow against a deck that wants to chain cheap spells and race, and Shoot the Sheriff is a clunky 2-mana answer to their creatures when we'd rather be proactive, so both get trimmed for more impactful sideboard cards.
This is a landfall/enchantment-fueled ramp deck, so Heritage Reclamation is excellent against Earthbender Ascension and other enchantment payoffs while also hitting their sideboard Soul-Guide Lantern. Soul-Guide Lantern helps disrupt Icetill Explorer's mill-to-graveyard land recursion and their general graveyard value. Duress can strip a key ramp piece or removal spell before it lands. Shoot the Sheriff can target their creatures since none are outlaws, but the real issue is they don't present must-answer bodies early enough to justify it over more proactive cards, and Hunter's Talent's damage effect is less effective against their bigger late-game creatures, so we trim some of the slower interaction for hate pieces and disruption.
Duress proactively strips their countermagic (Spell Pierce, Spell Snare, We Say Thee Nay!) or removal (Bitter Triumph, Requiting Hex) before they can use it reactively, which is huge against a control-leaning midrange deck. Surrak, Elusive Hunter can't be countered, dodging their dense counterspell suite, and its trample plus card draw when targeted punishes their removal-heavy plan. Hollowmurk Siege is a slower value engine that doesn't affect the board and can be picked off by their many answers, so it comes out in favor of more resilient, proactive threats. Head of the Hunt is fine but less necessary against a deck without an overwhelming go-wide plan, so we trim a couple copies for the Surrak upgrade.
