Boros Energy is a creature-dense aggro deck that floods the board with efficient threats like Ocelot Pride, Guide of Souls, and Ragavan, then overwhelms you with energy-fueled Galvanic Discharge and Phlage as a finisher. You are generally favored in a race since your prowess creatures can close out quickly, but their token generation and Seasoned Pyromancer can gum up combat. Bring in the additional Unholy Heats to answer their larger threats like Phlage and Ajani, Nacatl Pariah with delirium-boosted damage, and End the Festivities to wipe out token swarms from Ocelot Pride in one sorcery. Cut Violent Urge as it's the weakest pump spell here — you'd rather have removal than pump in a race where they generate card advantage and board presence. Keep your Cori-Steel Cutters and Slickshot Show-Offs active; a resolved Cutter can outpace their energy engine in just a few turns.
Jeskai Blink is a tempo and value deck built around Phelia and Ephemerate to repeatedly blink creatures like Ragavan and Quantum Riddler, with Solitude and Galvanic Discharge as removal and Phlage as a late-game threat. Your primary game plan is to apply early pressure with Monastery Swiftspear and Dragon's Rage Channeler before their board stabilizes, then use Cori-Steel Cutter to grind through their interaction. Bring in Consign to Memory to counter their Solitude, Ephemerate, or Phlage activations at critical moments, and Spell Pierce and Spell Snare to disrupt Ephemerate and Prismatic Ending respectively. Trim Violent Urge and some Mutagenic Growth since the pump spells are less impactful in a grindy matchup where they have so much incidental life gain via Phlage and removal for your threats; the extra disruption increases your ability to resolve key spells through their countermeasures.
Affinity aims to generate a massive board of artifact creatures through Urza's Saga, Weapons Manufacturing, and Kappa Cannoneer, then win with overwhelming stats or a combo-style burst. Your primary tools are Meltdown and Shattering Spree, which can blow out their entire mox/artifact base at instant or sorcery speed before they establish a board. End the Festivities comes in to sweep small tokens from Weapons Manufacturing or Urza's Saga constructs that might otherwise chump your attackers. Keep your full prowess shell intact — Monastery Swiftspear, Slickshot Show-Off, and Dragon's Rage Channeler can race effectively if you can tempo them off key artifacts early. Violent Urge and the maindeck Unholy Heat are trimmed as the pump spell is weak when opponents can block en masse and the single Unholy Heat is lower value than artifact hate.
